Inverness lady
twists up tasty treats
By
Margaret McSweeney
Inverness resident Helen
Demeros loves to cook and to help others. She recently
combined these talents to create a new business called Pretzel
Palace.
Her gift baskets of gourmet
pretzels are not only tasty, but help benefit various charitable
groups. She donates proceeds from her sales to those in
need.
"My greatest gifts in life are
to free. I want to share my blessings with other," Helen
says. Helen's treats will be available for you to purchase at
the upcoming Women's Club of Inverness Fashion Show and Luncheon
on April 19 at the Stonegate Conference and Banquet Center.
Even with her responsibilities
of working as a nurse and new business owner, Helen plans to
participate in the Avon Breast Cancer Three-Day Walk from
Kenosha to Chicago from June 14 to 16.
This event raises funds for
women who cannot afford mammograms and other services for
battling cancer.
She would greatly appreciate
any community support. Helen needs sponsors by April 30.
Please make checks payable to Avon Breast Cancer Three-Day Walk
